Leica’s $6,690 SL3-P pairs 44-megapixel stills with 8K video

Leica released the SL3-P camera on May 15, 2024, integrating 44.6-megapixel still image capabilities with 8K video recording. This new model builds upon the features of the previously launched SL3 (2024) and the speed-optimized SL3-S. The SL3-P distinguishes itself from other Leica "P" variants by omitting the signature red dot logo, a design choice that emphasizes its focus on core photographic and videographic performance. The camera boasts a new 44.6-megapixel BSI CMOS sensor, offering a significant resolution increase over some previous models and enabling detailed image capture.
