Lego’s largest, most complex set ever is a must-have for architecture lovers

Lego released its largest and most complex set ever, the Lego Sagrada Família, on an unspecified date in 2024. This set comprises 12,060 pieces and is priced at $800, making it a significant undertaking for Lego enthusiasts and architecture admirers. The design aims to translate Antoni Gaudí's famously intricate basilica, which has been under construction since 1882, into a detailed display model. The set measures 24 by 18.5 by 15 inches and is part of the Lego Architecture product line, which focuses on recreating famous architectural landmarks. Lego designer Rok Žgalin Kobe stated that the design goal was to honor Gaudí's vision with respect, capturing the basilica's complexity and ambition. Kobe explained that the approach involved psychological suggestion rather than exact replication, particularly in the construction of the towers, to convey the essence of the building.
