Lava Virat V1 and V1 5G Specs Revealed, Launch Delayed

Specifications for Lava's upcoming Virat V1 and Virat V1 5G smartphones have been revealed, indicating a shift in the company's product strategy. The Virat V1 is expected to feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. It will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. For photography, the device will sport a triple rear camera setup, including a 50MP main sensor, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP macro sensor. The front camera will be a 16MP sensor. A 5000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support is also anticipated.

The Virat V1 5G, positioned as a slightly more advanced model, is rumored to come with a similar 6.7-inch AMOLED display but with a higher resolution of 2460 x 1080 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it is expected to be equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 810 processor, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage. The camera system is slated to include a 64MP primary sensor, a 13MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP macro lens for the rear, with a 32MP front-facing camera. This model is also expected to house a 5000mAh battery with 33W fast charging.

Both devices are anticipated to run on Android 13 out of the box. However, the launch of these new models has been rescheduled. While initial reports suggested a launch in the first week of July, the company has now indicated a delay, with a new launch window yet to be officially announced. This postponement could be attributed to various factors, including supply chain adjustments or further refinement of the devices before their market release. Lava has not provided a specific reason for the delay, but it suggests a cautious approach to the product rollout.
