Toy Story 5 Tops Korean Box Office Over The Eyes

Toy Story 5 secured the top position at the South Korean box office for the weekend of July 3–5. Data from KOBIS, the Korean Film Council's tracking service, indicates the animated film grossed $2.8 million from 429,042 admissions across the three-day period. This performance allowed Toy Story 5 to capture a 38.6% market share for the weekend.

Trailing closely behind was the thriller "The Eyes," which generated $2.7 million from 417,171 admissions during the same weekend. The film's strong performance placed it just behind the animated sequel. The combined ticket sales for the top two films accounted for a significant portion of the overall box office revenue for the weekend.

Other films in the top five included "The Plot," which earned $680,000 from 102,839 admissions, and "Inside Out 2," which garnered $540,000 from 83,017 admissions. "The Roundup: Punishment" rounded out the top five, bringing in $200,000 from 31,109 admissions. These figures highlight the competitive landscape of the South Korean film market during this period.
