Kia Prices 2027 EV3 Under $32,000 for US Market

Kia has officially priced its upcoming 2027 EV3 electric vehicle for the United States market, with the base model set to retail for under $32,000. This pricing positions the EV3 as a potentially significant contender in the affordable electric vehicle segment, a market segment that has seen limited options for consumers seeking value without compromising on essential EV capabilities. The announcement was made prior to the vehicle's anticipated arrival at dealerships, signaling Kia's strategic move to capture a broader consumer base interested in electric mobility.

The 2027 Kia EV3 is engineered to offer a compelling package of range and charging performance. According to Kia's specifications, the EV3 is projected to deliver an estimated EPA range of up to 310 miles on a single charge. This range is achieved through a substantial 81.4 kWh battery pack, which is the larger of the two battery options available for the vehicle. The smaller battery option, with a capacity of 58.3 kWh, is expected to provide an EPA range of approximately 230 miles. For charging, the EV3 supports DC fast charging, enabling it to replenish from 10% to 80% state of charge in about 31 minutes when utilizing a 125 kW DC fast charger. This charging speed is competitive within its class and addresses common consumer concerns about EV charging times.

Kia will offer the 2027 EV3 in three distinct trim levels for the US market: the Light, Wind, and Earth. The base Light trim, priced under $32,000, will come equipped with the 58.3 kWh battery. The Wind and Earth trims will feature the larger 81.4 kWh battery, offering the extended 310-mile range, and are expected to be priced higher. While specific pricing for the Wind and Earth trims has not yet been disclosed, it is anticipated that they will remain competitive within the sub-$40,000 bracket. Standard features across all trims are expected to include a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, along with a 5-inch climate control display, reflecting a modern and tech-forward interior design. The vehicle also incorporates Kia's latest design language, featuring a distinctive front fascia with vertical headlights and a prominent grille.

Beyond its core specifications, the EV3 is designed with practicality and user experience in mind. It boasts a spacious interior for its segment, with Kia highlighting a cargo capacity of 25.3 cubic feet behind the rear seats, expandable to 46.9 cubic feet with the rear seats folded down.
