The 41-year-old television personality, who recently separated from her former fiancé Sid Wilson, with whom she shares her 3-year-old son, also named Sid, stated in an interview with Hello! magazine that despite living on the West Coast for much of her life, she never felt like a "California girl." Osbourne emphasized that her son is a primary motivator for her move, bringing her immense happiness and making her feel truly content. She expressed satisfaction in establishing a life for herself and her son in the U.K., where she observes him to be genuinely happy. Returning to her roots has also been a significant aspect of this transition, as Osbourne is now able to send her son to the same preschool she attended as a child. She shared a touching anecdote about reconnecting with her childhood best friend on her first day of that very school, a friendship that has endured, and noted that her friend's child also attends the same institution and is best friends with her son. A major factor influencing her decision to raise her son in the U.K. was her concern over gun violence in the United States. She articulated her deep-seated aversion to the necessity of explaining active shooter drills to her son, a reality she finds "insanity" for American schools. The interview also touched upon the passing of her father, Ozzy Osbourne, in 2025 at the age of 76, due to coronary artery disease and Parkinson's disease. Osbourne described that year as the "hardest year of my life." Her father's death, coupled with the desire for a different environment for her son, contributed to her significant life change.
