Jared Leto Accused of Sexual Misconduct by Four Women

Actor and musician Jared Leto is facing accusations of criminal sexual conduct from four women, as detailed in a new BBC documentary titled "Jared Leto: Hollywood's Dark Secret." These allegations claim that the offenses occurred when the accusers were teenagers. The documentary, which aired on Wednesday, features a total of 10 women who have come forward with various allegations against Leto. The BBC reports that nine of these women are sharing their stories publicly for the first time.

One accuser, identified as "Sarah" (name changed for privacy), claims that Leto engaged in sexual activity with her when she was 15 years old and he was 30. She alleges that this occurred in 2003, during the filming of the television series "The Young Americans," in which Leto starred. Sarah states that Leto groomed her and that their relationship was consensual on her part due to her age and his influence. She further claims that Leto sent her explicit messages and photos, and that he pressured her into sexual encounters.

Another accuser, "Maria" (name also changed), alleges that Leto exposed himself to her when she was 17 and working as an intern on the set of "The Young Americans." She states that Leto invited her to his hotel room and then masturbated in front of her. Maria claims that she felt threatened and intimidated by Leto's actions and that she did not report the incident at the time due to fear of retaliation and the power imbalance.

A third accuser, "Jessica" (name changed), claims that Leto coerced her into a sexual relationship when she was 17 and he was 30. She alleges that Leto used his fame and influence to manipulate her into believing their relationship was exclusive and that he loved her. Jessica states that she felt trapped and unable to escape the relationship, which lasted for several months.

The fourth accuser, "Emily" (name changed), alleges that Leto sexually assaulted her when she was 17. She claims that the incident occurred at a party in Los Angeles, and that she was intoxicated at the time. Emily states that she has no memory of the assault but that she has experienced recurring nightmares and flashbacks since the event.

In response to the allegations, a representative for Jared Leto issued a statement to the BBC, stating that "the documentary contains false and baseless accusations. Mr. Leto has always maintained consensual relationships with adult women. These allegations are not only untrue but also deeply disturbing."
