Daiwa House Unit Stanley Martin Buys Holiday Builders

Daiwa House-owned Stanley Martin Homes announced on Thursday its acquisition of Florida-based Holiday Builders, which closed 1,050 homes in 2025. This move signifies a continued expansion of Japanese homebuilder Daiwa House's presence in the U.S. housing market. Holiday Builders is recognized as America's No. 62 largest homebuilder.

Stanley Martin Homes, which already operates in Florida, stated that the acquisition will boost its controlled lot count by approximately 10,600 in the state and add over 40 existing communities to its portfolio. Holiday Builders has established a significant presence in Florida markets including Palm Coast, Palm Bay, Panama City, the Orlando metro area, North Port, and Cape Coral.

Daiwa House entered the U.S. market in 2017 with the purchase of Stanley Martin Homes, currently the No. 18 largest U.S. homebuilder. The company has since acquired other builders, including Trumark Homes (No. 66) in 2020 and CastleRock Communities (No. 48) in 2021. Further consolidation occurred in spring 2026 when Stanley Martin Homes acquired publicly traded United Homes Group (No. 56), and Trumark Homes purchased JK Monarch.

Daiwa House has set a goal to deliver 10,000 single-family new homes annually in the U.S. by 2026. In 2025, its U.S. subsidiaries reported the following single-family new-builds closed: Stanley Martin Homes (5,320), United Homes Group (1,192, being integrated into Stanley Martin), CastleRock Communities (1,465), Holiday Builders (1,050, being integrated into Stanley Martin), Trumark Homes (991), and JK Monarch (59, being integrated into Trumark Homes). Daiwa House is consolidating its U.S. operations under Trumark Homes for Western regions, CastleRock Communities for Central regions, and Stanley Martin Homes for Eastern regions.
