Jaeger-LeCoultre Unveils Three High-Horology Masterpieces

Jaeger-LeCoultre has introduced three new limited-edition timepieces, reinforcing its reputation as a master watchmaker by showcasing advanced horology, celestial mechanics, and high-jewelry craftsmanship. The collection includes the Master Hybris Artistica Calibre 945, the Duometre Grande Complication à Grande Sonnerie, and the 101 Secrets.

The Master Hybris Artistica Calibre 945, limited to five pieces, is an artistic interpretation of celestial timekeeping. It features a 45mm 18K white gold case containing a multi-level dial that depicts the night sky above the Vallée de Joux. This dial is crafted using grisaille enamel, a 16th-century technique that employs Blanc de Limoges white enamel to create three-dimensional chiaroscuro effects against a midnight-blue background. The celestial display includes a Northern Hemisphere sky chart showing real-time constellation positions and a 73-component flying Cosmotourbillon. This Cosmotourbillon completes a full orbit counter-clockwise every sidereal day, which is precisely 23 hours, 56 minutes, and 4 seconds. The timepiece is further enhanced by an integrated minute repeater that uses patented Cathedral crystal gongs and Trébuchet hammers to produce a clear and powerful chime.

The Duometre Grande Complication à Grande Sonnerie is presented as a unique, single-piece edition. This watch is powered by an updated version of Calibre 182, comprising 1,300 individual components and encompassing 15 complications. Its 45mm case is constructed from 18K pink gold and titanium. The watch features a Westminster-style Grande and Petite Sonnerie, capable of playing the iconic four-note melody of Big Ben using four gongs and four hammers. The movement utilizes Jaeger-LeCoultre's proprietary Duometre system, which features dual barrels to independently supply power for timekeeping functions and the chiming mechanism, ensuring optimal performance for both.

The third release, the 101 Secrets, is a high-jewelry edition that houses the world's smallest rectangular mechanical movement, the Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre 101. This movement, originally developed in 1929, has been miniaturized to an extreme degree. The 101 Secrets showcases intricate gem setting, highlighting the fusion of haute joaillerie and advanced watchmaking.
