INTERPOL Operation Takes Down Sniper Dz Phishing Platform, Arrests Administrator

INTERPOL announced the disruption of the Sniper Dz phishing-as-a-service (PhaaS) platform last month, following a coordinated operation involving 13 countries in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. The operation, codenamed Operation Ramz, which ran from October 2025 to February 2026, resulted in 201 arrests. Group-IB, a cybersecurity firm, reported on Thursday that Guedz, identified as the administrator of Sniper Dz, was among those apprehended. Sniper Dz had been active for approximately ten years, offering its services to cybercriminals. The platform's takedown is a significant blow to phishing operations in the MENA region. Authorities seized over 1,000 devices and 400 digital accounts during the operation, preventing an estimated $30 million in potential losses. This operation highlights the increasing international cooperation in combating sophisticated cybercrime syndicates.
