Instagram is finally letting you rearrange your profile grid. Here’s how to do it

Instagram introduced a new "Grid Reordering" feature on Monday, June 8, allowing users to manually rearrange their profile grid of photos and videos. Previously, posts appeared chronologically, with only the option to pin up to three posts to the top. This update, developed by Meta Platforms, enables users to click and drag any post, including those from up to a decade ago, to a desired position on their profile. Meta stated in an interview with USA Today that this feature was a highly requested addition, and they took time to implement it intentionally. To use the feature, users tap on a post, access the editing menu, and select the "reorder" option to drag the post to its new location. Pinned posts will continue to remain at the top of the profile. The Grid Reordering functionality is currently available only on mobile devices. Users have expressed significant enthusiasm for this change, viewing it as a welcome enhancement to their profile's aesthetic control, though some have also voiced desires for additional features like rearranging saved highlights.
