The project, nicknamed the "Futurecave," is being developed with environmental innovator Joost Bakker and architect Frank Burride, located about an hour outside of Byron Bay. The six-bedroom, two-story residence will utilize sustainable materials such as hemp blocks, recycled oyster shells, agricultural waste, and sustainable particle boards for its construction. Efron stated in a December 2025 interview with the Australian Financial Review that his goal is to create a dwelling that fosters a deep connection with the Earth, reflecting a desire for a more grounded lifestyle amidst his fast-paced career. The "Futurecave" is designed to be highly eco-friendly, inherently resistant to mold and fire, and to ensure superior air quality throughout the home.
