This initiative, supported by Rohini Nilekani Philanthropies, aims to provide grants to three documentary projects focused on environmental themes. The application period for the fund remains open until June 30, 2024. The festival developed this fund in collaboration with documentary platforms Greenstories and DocedgeKolkata. The program specifically seeks out films that are built around environmental narratives and aims to foster the creation of impactful environmental storytelling within India. This fund represents one of the largest dedicated to environmental documentaries in the country, signaling a significant commitment to supporting filmmakers who address critical ecological issues.
