Hyundai Powers Up $5 Billion Georgia EV Battery Plant

Hyundai Motor Group's $5 billion electric vehicle (EV) battery manufacturing plant in Bryan County, Georgia, has begun operations. This significant facility is a joint venture with SK On, a leading Korean battery producer. The plant is designed to produce advanced battery cells that will power Hyundai's growing lineup of electric vehicles manufactured in North America.

The facility, named Metaplant America, is strategically located to support Hyundai's automotive production.
