Hyundai has announced that the base price for its all-electric IONIQ 5 model will increase by $250 for the 2027 model year, bringing the starting MSRP to $35,250. This adjustment positions the 2027 IONIQ 5 as one of the most competitively priced electric vehicles available in the market, continuing its strategy of offering value in the burgeoning EV segment. The Hyundai IONIQ 5, first introduced in 2021, is built on the company's Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), which is designed specifically for battery electric vehicles.
