The first discount offers Ionna charging sessions at a reduced rate of $0.25 per kilowatt-hour (kWh). This rate is a substantial reduction from typical public charging costs, which can often exceed $0.40 per kWh, and in some areas, even reach $0.60 per kWh. The second promotion provides a $0.10 per kWh discount on all charging sessions. When combined, these two offers effectively lower the per-kWh rate for eligible Hyundai and Genesis drivers, making it highly competitive within the current EV charging market. This dual discount strategy is designed to maximize savings for consumers and encourage greater adoption and utilization of electric vehicles.

Ionna is a joint venture established by major automotive manufacturers, including Hyundai Motor Group, which encompasses the Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis brands. Other founding members of Ionna include BMW Group, Honda, General Motors, and Stellantis. The network's objective is to deploy 12,000 high-power charging stalls across North America by the end of 2023, with a focus on expanding to 32,000 stalls by the end of 2024. These charging stations are designed to support charging speeds of up to 350 kW, enabling ultra-fast charging for compatible electric vehicles.
