Hue’s wired wall modules bring non-smart lights into its ecosystem
Signify's Philips Hue brand introduced its first wired wall modules on May 14, 2024, enabling users to integrate traditional, non-smart light fixtures into the Philips Hue smart lighting ecosystem. These modules are designed to be installed discreetly behind existing wall light switches, effectively making any connected light controllable via the Hue app and voice commands. This expansion allows consumers to upgrade their existing lighting infrastructure without needing to replace entire fixtures, offering a more accessible entry point into smart home lighting. The company also unveiled new, more affordable versions of its Signe series lamps, including Play table and floor lamps. Additionally, Philips Hue announced updates to its E14 candle bulbs, which now feature improved brightness and color rendering capabilities, further enhancing the options for smart lighting customization within the home. These product launches aim to broaden the appeal and usability of the Philips Hue system across a wider range of home lighting scenarios and budgets.
