The World of Hyatt loyalty program, recognized for its straightforward earning and redemption system, allows members to transfer credit card points to their Hyatt accounts. This capability is particularly important following a recent overhaul of the program's award pricing, which now features five tiers instead of three, potentially increasing the point difference for award nights by tens of thousands. This change underscores the value of accumulating transferable credit card points to bridge any gaps for desired award redemptions.

Currently, World of Hyatt has two primary credit card partners for point transfers: Chase Ultimate Rewards and Bilt. While all three Bilt cards enable point transfers to Hyatt, specific terms and conditions apply based on a user's Bilt program tier. Similarly, not all Chase credit cards earn points that can be transferred to Hyatt; only those earning Chase Ultimate Rewards points are eligible. A recent development has also introduced variations in the 1:1 transfer ratio for these points.

To transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards points to World of Hyatt, cardholders must possess one of the following Chase credit cards: Chase Sapphire Reserve®, Chase Sapphire Reserve for Business℠, Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card, or Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card. These transfers are processed in increments of 1,000 points, with the program detailing the specific process and any associated limitations or benefits for each card type to ensure members can effectively leverage their rewards for stays within the Hyatt portfolio.
