Honor Unveils Foldable Magic V2 RSR with Porsche Design

Honor has unveiled its latest foldable smartphone, the Magic V2 RSR, developed in collaboration with Porsche Design. This premium device builds upon the foundation of the Honor Magic V2, which was initially released in China in July 2023 and later globally in January 2024. The RSR variant distinguishes itself with a design inspired by the aerodynamics of sports cars, featuring a distinctive "sculpted" rear panel that Honor states enhances grip and airflow. This design element, reminiscent of a car's spoiler, aims to provide a more comfortable and secure hold for users.

The Honor Magic V2 RSR retains the ultra-thin foldable form factor that characterized its predecessor, measuring just 4.7mm when unfolded. This slim profile was a key selling point of the original Magic V2, making it one of the thinnest foldable phones on the market. The device utilizes a titanium alloy hinge, which Honor claims offers improved durability and a smoother folding experience. The exterior display is a 6.43-inch OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, while the interior foldable screen is a larger 7.92-inch OLED display, also supporting a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the Magic V2 RSR is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, a high-performance processor that was the flagship offering from Qualcomm at the time of the original Magic V2's release. This chipset is paired with 16GB of RAM, ensuring smooth multitasking and efficient handling of demanding applications and games. The device comes with 1TB of internal storage, providing ample space for apps, media, and files.
