Hilton to Acquire Hyatt All-Inclusive Resort in Cancun

Hilton is set to acquire a prominent all-inclusive resort in Cancun, Mexico, marking a significant expansion of its all-inclusive offerings and providing a new destination for Hilton Honors members. The acquisition involves the Breathless Cancún Soul Resort & Spa, which will officially transition to the Amàre Cancun Adults Only All-Inclusive Resort, Curio by Hilton, on October 31 of this year. This strategic move aims to bolster Hilton's presence in the popular Caribbean destination.

Located on Boulevard Kukulcan, between the Caribbean Sea and the Nichupté Lagoon, the beachfront resort will undergo brand integration initiatives prior to its reopening under the Hilton banner. These enhancements will include updates to select public areas and the resort's food and beverage outlets, as stated in a press release from Hilton. The resort features 429 rooms and suites, all designed with a light and airy aesthetic, and offering balconies with views of either the Nichupté Lagoon or the sea. The property is spread across two towers and includes rooftop pools, in addition to a ground-level pool.

Under Hilton's management, the Amàre Cancun resort will boast nine bars and nine restaurants. These dining establishments are highlighted for featuring "standout dining concepts developed with Michelin-starred chefs that blend Mediterranean technique with Mexican ingredients and Latin American flavors." A coffee shop will also be available for guests seeking a quick caffeine boost. The resort plans to offer curated guest experiences, such as "signature sunrise and golden-hour rituals, Mediterranean-inspired wellness programming, and a sophisticated entertainment concept shaped by resident DJs and live performers." Additionally, guests will have access to a spa, 10,000 square feet of meeting space, and a fitness center.

Pablo Maturana, a Hilton vice president for the Caribbean and Latin America, commented on the acquisition, stating, "With Amàre Cancun, we are adding a distinctive adults-only all-inclusive resort to our portfolio." This addition signifies Hilton's commitment to growing its all-inclusive segment. Opening rates for the Amàre Cancun Adults Only All-Inclusive Resort, Curio by Hilton, are expected to start at approximately $308 per night for double occupancy, offering a new premium option for travelers seeking an all-inclusive experience in Cancun.
