Hilton Honors has launched its most generous points purchase promotion to date, offering members a 120% bonus on acquired points. This deal, which began recently and is set to conclude on November 21 for most participants, allows members to significantly increase their Hilton Honors point balances. The promotion requires a minimum purchase of 5,000 points to qualify for the 120% bonus, effectively more than doubling the number of points acquired. For instance, purchasing 5,000 points, which typically costs $50, will result in a total of 11,000 points, including the bonus. Members can purchase points in increments of 1,000, with a maximum limit of 240,000 points per calendar year before the bonus is applied. This annual limit means a member could acquire up to 528,000 points in total during the promotion period. The substantial bonus effectively reduces the cost per point from the standard 1 cent to approximately 0.45 cents, representing a 55% saving. However, the offer may be targeted, and members are advised to log in to their Hilton Honors accounts to verify their specific bonus percentage. Travel publication The Points Guy (TPG) generally advises against purchasing points due to high redemption costs, but acknowledges that such promotions can be advantageous when a specific redemption is planned. TPG's October 2026 valuations place Hilton Honors points at 0.4 cents each, a figure that has seen some devaluation in recent times. Hilton Honors points are subject to expiration after 24 months of inactivity, a factor that members should consider before purchasing. The program's previous highest bonus offers have typically capped at 100%, making this 120% bonus a notable increase and the best offer recorded by the program.
