Amazon Prime Members Save 50¢ Per Gallon This July 4 Weekend

Amazon announced a promotional offer providing a 50¢ per gallon discount on one fuel purchase for Amazon Prime members in the United States. This limited-time offer is valid from Thursday, July 2, through Sunday, July 5, coinciding with the July 4 holiday weekend. The national average gas price as of the time of reporting was $3.82 per gallon, a decrease from $4.56 on May 21, but still higher than the $3.15 average from the previous year's July 4 period. The 50¢ per gallon savings can result in potential savings of $5 to $15 for drivers with average gas tanks ranging from 10 to 30 gallons.
To be eligible for this discount, customers must be a US Amazon Prime subscriber and create a free BP earnify account. This earnify account needs to be linked to their Amazon Prime membership. The discount can be redeemed at more than 7,500 participating gas stations across the country. These participating locations include BP Amoco, select ampm stations, and select Thorntons stations. Customers can create a BP earnify account through the free earnify app, which is available for download on both iPhone and Android devices.
The promotion aims to provide financial relief to the tens of millions of Americans expected to travel by road during the holiday weekend. The initiative is part of Amazon's efforts to add value for its Prime subscribers, particularly during peak travel periods. The company has not specified any further details regarding the total amount of fuel that can be purchased with the discount or any other limitations beyond the single fill-up requirement.
