Harvey Weinstein Prosecutors Won’t Seek Fourth Rape Trial

A subsequent trial in New York in February 2024 ended with a jury acquitting Weinstein of rape and sexual assault charges, though he remains incarcerated due to his California sentence. The Manhattan District Attorney's office stated that the evidence presented in the New York trial was insufficient to secure a conviction, leading to the decision not to pursue further legal action in that jurisdiction.
