GU Releases Pokémon Collection with Outdoor-Inspired Designs

GU has launched a new six-piece unisex collection inspired by the concept of a Pokémon trainer living in a forest, translating this theme into earthy color palettes and outdoor-ready design elements. The collection emphasizes subtle character integration through woven tags, embroidery, and functional hardware, moving away from overt graphics. This approach is evident in the Poké Ball-shaped zipper pulls found on three zippered styles, serving as a discreet nod to the Pokémon universe.

The Half-Zip Fleece Pullover, constructed from fully recycled polyester, features character references on woven tags. A Light Gray version displays the Mythical Pokémon Mew, while a Navy option showcases Gengar. The Fleece Full-Zip Parka, also made from recycled polyester, is available in Black and Green. It incorporates a Poké Ball zipper pull and a Pikachu silhouette on an outdoor-toned woven label. This parka is designed for functional outdoor wear, aligning with the collection's overarching theme.

The knitwear in the collection offers more intricate construction. The Full-Zip Knit Jacket, made from acrylic knit for substantial layering, comes in a Brown design that combines Eevee with a Poké Ball motif. A Navy version of the knit jacket features Pikachu against Electric-type icons, both finished with the signature Poké Ball zipper pull. A Black version of the pullover features a prominent Pikachu silhouette. Additionally, the Graphic T-shirt is available in White, adorned with Dragonite on the front, and in Blue, featuring a grouping of Flying-type Pokémon.
