Earlier in the year, Google collaborated with American Airlines on a project where the airline reported a substantial reduction in the climate impact of certain flights by utilizing Google's AI-based forecasting tool to proactively prevent contrails. The success of these individual airline tests provides a foundation for the larger-scale airspace trial now underway.
