General Motors is introducing redesigned versions of its top-selling Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra pickup trucks for the 2027 model year, featuring significantly updated user interfaces for their digital displays. The automaker has adopted a more minimalist design philosophy for these new interfaces, which appears to incorporate user feedback for product improvement. Notably, unlike GM's electric vehicle lineup, these new trucks will continue to support smartphone integration via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on their infotainment systems. Another specialized view is the driver assist display, which uses green as a highlight color to indicate when the Super Cruise hands-free driving system is active. This display also provides a visual representation of the vehicle's fused sensor data, showing what the car perceives around it. For off-road enthusiasts, a dedicated off-road driving view is available, offering information on various vehicle angles and differential settings. Additionally, a specific view is designed for towing operations, providing relevant data for drivers engaged in towing.
