Gentle Monster Launches Second Google & Samsung Smart Frame

Gentle Monster has unveiled the second design from its next-generation intelligent eyewear collection, a collaboration with Google and Samsung. This new optical frame features a clean square silhouette, presenting a more subtle interpretation of the brand's aesthetic. The design integrates audio, a camera, microphones, and Google Gemini, aiming for natural, hands-free interaction.

The eyewear connects with both Android devices (Samsung Galaxy, Google Pixel) and iOS devices (Apple iPhone) through a companion smartphone application. Users can control music playback, make calls, take photos hands-free, access real-time translation, receive turn-by-turn navigation, capture visuals, and utilize contextual AI assistance via voice commands. The frames are designed for lightweight comfort and offer up to 9 hours of battery life on a single charge, with a charging case providing an additional 7 or more full charges.

The accompanying campaign for the collection was photographed by Éamonn Zeel Freel and features models Anok Yai and Alex Consani. This second frame design follows the initial reveal earlier this year and will be part of the full collection launching later this fall. The collection aims to blend fashion with advanced technology for seamless everyday use.
