Frank Lloyd Wright's Only TN Home Listed for $1.6M

Frank Lloyd Wright's only home designed in Tennessee has been listed for sale for the first time in its 75-year history, with an asking price of $1.6 million. The Usonian-style residence, located in Chattanooga, was built in 1952, seven years before the architect's death. It has remained in the ownership of the same family since its construction.
The home is known as the Seamour Shavin House, named after its original owners, Seamor and Gerte Shavin, who commissioned Wright for their marital home. The house spans just over 1,700 square feet and features three bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. The listing highlights the property as a unique and well-preserved example of Wright's later works, describing it as a "masterwork" of his Usonian philosophy.
The property is situated atop Chattanooga's historic Missionary Ridge. Sandy Poe of Alliance Sotheby's International Realty is handling the listing. The sale represents a rare opportunity for a buyer to acquire the only residence in Tennessee designed by Frank Lloyd Wright.
