An 1800s townhouse located at 181 Baltic Street in Brooklyn's Cobble Hill historic district has been reimagined into two separate luxury condominium units by developer Eckstrøm NYC. The property, originally a single-family home that had been converted into apartments over time, was divided into an upper duplex and a lower triplex. The lower triplex portion recently sold for approximately $7.2 million, marking it as the priciest contract in Brooklyn for the week ending June 20. The upper duplex, now revealed in new renderings, is being offered for $5.7 million. Developers Carlos Saavedra and Nicole Eckstrom, the duo behind Eckstrøm NYC, specialize in renovating historic Brooklyn properties for buyers seeking a blend of modern amenities and historical character. Saavedra explained that the decision to split the wide, 25-foot footprint townhouse into two units was driven by a desire to create more efficiently sized living spaces, addressing a common sentiment that large homes often go underutilized. Both the upper duplex and the lower triplex are slated for completion and delivery in August. The upper duplex is expected to feature modern amenities, including Miele appliances in its kitchen. Eckstrøm NYC is currently marketing the upper duplex to a select group of potential buyers and has already received interest.
