Steve Doocy, a veteran host of the popular Fox News morning program "Fox & Friends," has made a temporary return to the show's iconic studio in New York City. This appearance comes more than a year after Doocy, 69, stepped down from his full-time in-studio role to relocate to Florida. Viewers were pleased to see the seasoned broadcaster back on the familiar "couch" alongside his regular co-hosts, Ainsley Earhardt and Brian Kilmeade. Doocy is filling in for Lawrence B. Jones, who is currently on a break. The on-air personality confirmed his temporary return via a post on his personal Facebook account, where he expressed his enjoyment of being back in Manhattan. "I’m back on the couch a couple days filling in for Lawrence. Always a pleasure seeing Ainsley and Brian and the Studio M Crew," Doocy wrote, accompanying his message with a photograph of the three co-hosts. This visit to the New York headquarters is slated to last for one week. Following this guest hosting engagement, Doocy is scheduled to resume his duties as the "Coast-to-Coast Host" starting August 3. This role was established as part of his transition away from full-time, in-studio broadcasting in New York City. Doocy, who is also the father of Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy, moved with his wife to Florida in 2025. The couple had owned a property in Jupiter, Florida, for several years prior to their full-time relocation. Property records indicate they purchased a three-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom residence in the area. The decision to move to Florida marked a significant shift from his longtime residence in New Jersey, where he lived while commuting to the Fox News studios in Manhattan. His temporary return to the New York studio has generated positive reactions from the dedicated viewership of "Fox & Friends," a program that has consistently been a ratings leader in morning television.
