Four Dead in Kentucky Flash Floods

Four people have died in Kentucky as a result of flash floods triggered by thunderstorms, Governor Andy Beshear announced this week. The storms delivered as much as 7 inches (18cm) of rain to the state, causing widespread flooding.

In a social media post, Governor Beshear confirmed the four fatalities, specifying that three individuals were from Madison County and one was from Jackson County. He asked for prayers for the families of the deceased during this challenging period.

The heavy rainfall affected both Kentucky and Indiana, with the potential for more precipitation in the forecast. The extent of the damage and the total number of people affected by the flooding are still being assessed.
