Former NBA MVP James Harden arrested on weapon charge in Houston

James Harden was arrested on a misdemeanor gun violation in Houston early Saturday morning and subsequently released on a $100 bond. The Cleveland Cavaliers guard was stopped by police around 4 a.m. while driving through downtown Houston with four other individuals. According to court records, an officer observed a handgun in the cup holder of Harden's Mercedes after he drove up behind another vehicle. Harden, an 11-time All-Star, was taken to a Houston jail following the traffic stop.
