Joe Vernachio joined Sorel as President on March 18, 2024, succeeding Cory Long who had held the position since November 2023. Vernachio previously served as the CEO of Allbirds, a sustainable footwear company, from 2019 to 2023. His tenure at Allbirds saw the company's initial public offering (IPO) in October 2021. Prior to Allbirds, Vernachio held leadership roles at other apparel and footwear brands, including Levi Strauss & Co. and Timberland.
