Hilton Opens First LXR Resort in Hawaii

Hilton opened its first LXR Hotels & Resorts property in Hawaii, Ka La'i Waikiki Beach, this week in Honolulu's Waikiki neighborhood. The resort underwent a $100 million transformation from its previous identity as the Trump International Hotel Waikiki. This debut marks Hilton's expansion of its luxury collection into the Hawaiian market, offering apartment-style accommodations.

The reimagined hotel features a design incorporating nods to Hawaiian scenery, utilizing soft green accents, lava stone, and dark woods. The property aims to provide guests with a "home-like stay full of amenities" and is accessible for booking with Hilton Honors points. The transformation focused on updating the nearly 30-year-old building to align with the LXR brand's luxury positioning.

Ka La'i Waikiki Beach is situated near Waikiki Beach, a highly sought-after destination. The hotel's open-air reception area and overall design were noted for their aesthetic appeal.
