Ferrari Luce EV "Chassis 0" Slated for Charity Auction

Ferrari has consigned its first-ever production electric vehicle, designated "Chassis 0", to a no-reserve charity auction hosted by RM Sotheby's. This unique build, set to be offered during Monterey Car Week between August 13 and August 15, 2026, represents a significant step into electrification for the Italian marque. All proceeds from the sale will be directed to the Ferrari Foundation's educational programs.

The Ferrari Luce "Chassis 0" is a collaborative design effort with LoveFrom, the creative collective founded by Sir Jony Ive and Marc Newson. It features a distinct all-electric powertrain delivering 1,050 horsepower through four independent electric motors, enabling a 0 to 60 mph acceleration in 2.5 seconds. The vehicle incorporates a 122 kWh battery pack and a patented acoustic system designed to reproduce authentic mechanical vibrations rather than artificial engine sounds.

This specific "Chassis 0" model is distinguished by a one-of-one Madreperla Semilucida pearlescent paint finish, which exhibits shifting green and violet hues under different lighting conditions. The interior complements this theme with white and blue accents, Le Mans leather in Perla, and custom Grigio Corvara detailing, deviating from typical black cabin elements. The Luce is a five-seat vehicle, marking a departure in body style for Ferrari's initial EV offering.
