HGTV Stars Dave and Jenny Marrs Regret Filming Show at Home

Dave and Jenny Marrs, stars of the HGTV series "Fixer to Fabulous," have expressed regret over allowing their personal Arkansas farmhouse to be used as a filming location for the show. The couple, who have been documenting their property-flipping careers for nearly a decade, now wish they had maintained more privacy regarding their family home.

The Marrs' 1903-built, 2,400-square-foot farmhouse in Bentonville, Arkansas, which features five bedrooms and three bathrooms, serves a dual purpose as both their residence and a regular set for "Fixer to Fabulous." The show is currently in its eighth season, with new episodes anticipated later this year. Since the series began in 2019, Dave, 46, and Jenny, 47, have consistently permitted filming within their home as they undertake renovations across Northwest Arkansas.

In a recent interview with Realtor.com®, conducted as part of a partnership with Aleve, the Marrs duo revealed the challenges of having cameras constantly present in their personal space. Jenny described the situation as "annoying" and stated a preference for having a separate "show home" for filming, allowing for a clearer distinction between work and personal life. She highlighted the difficulty in achieving work-life separation when their home is actively used for production.

Dave elaborated on the lack of separation, explaining that they cannot cordon off specific areas of their house when filming is underway. This constant presence of production equipment and crew within their living environment has led to a desire for greater privacy. The couple's candid admission sheds light on the less glamorous aspects of reality television production, particularly when it directly impacts the personal lives of its stars.
