Disney+ and Hulu Announce September 2026 Streaming Slate

Disney+ and Hulu have unveiled their streaming schedules for September 2026, highlighting a significant presence of horror and thriller content, alongside major franchise releases and returning original series. The FX anthology series 'American Horror Story' will debut its 13th installment on Hulu on September 24, with an initial release of three episodes. This season, created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, features an ensemble cast reprising popular roles and is reportedly centered around a specific numerical theme.

Anchoring the month's genre offerings is the Berlin-set vampire drama 'City of Blood,' scheduled for release on September 16. On the film front, 'Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu,' a theatrical release from this summer, will become available on Disney+ on September 2. Directed by Jon Favreau, the film stars Pedro Pascal as the titular Mandalorian and features Grogu. The cast also includes Sigourney Weaver, with voice contributions from Martin Scorsese and Jeremy Allen White. The same day as the film's streaming debut, Disney+ will also release a companion behind-the-scenes podcast and 'LEGO Star Wars: The Mandalorian,' a comedic adaptation of the live-action series.

The slate of original series includes the return of 'Chad Powers' for its second season on Hulu on September 3. Following this, FX's 'The Drop: A Snowfall Saga,' a spin-off of the 'Snowfall' series, is set to premiere on September 8. The Korean thriller 'Made in Korea' will launch its second season on September 9. Additionally, established series 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' will air new episodes from its 18th season, and 'Futurama' will continue with its 14th season throughout September.

Library additions for September 2026 include a strong selection from Sony and Marvel. 'Spider-Man: Far From Home' and 'Spider-Man: No Way Home' are both slated for release on Disney+ on September 4. 'Kraven the Hunter' will be added to the platform on September 13.
