Netflix August 2026: Fast & Furious, Outer Banks Season 5 Arrive

Netflix has announced its content slate for August 2026, featuring a significant influx of genre films and the conclusion of a popular original series. The August 1st drop includes the first seven installments of the 'Fast & Furious' franchise, providing a comprehensive marathon for fans of the high-octane car-centric action series. Alongside these, a near-complete collection of the 'Child's Play' horror franchise will become available, alongside the 1990s teen comedy 'Clueless,' Jake Gyllenhaal's critically acclaimed thriller 'Nightcrawler,' and the Keanu Reeves action film 'Speed.' This early-month release strategy aims to capture audience attention with established, popular titles.

Horror content receives a substantial boost throughout August. 'Five Nights at Freddy's 2' is set to premiere on August 3rd. Blake Lively's shark survival thriller 'The Shallows' will be available starting August 15th. The killer doll reboot 'M3GAN' is scheduled for release on August 24th, further solidifying the month's genre focus.

Original programming sees the return of several established series and the debut of new ones.
