Emily Watson to Serve as Jury President at 32nd Sarajevo Film Festival, and Receive the Honorary Heart of Sarajevo

Emily Watson will preside over the jury for the Feature Film Competition Program at the 32nd Sarajevo Film Festival, scheduled to take place from August 16 to August 23, 2024. In addition to her jury duties, Watson will be honored with the Honorary Heart of Sarajevo, a prestigious award recognizing her significant contributions to global cinema. Festival director Jovan Marjanović praised Watson as an actress whose work has consistently demonstrated exceptional artistic merit and emotional depth. Watson's career spans over three decades, featuring critically acclaimed performances in films such as "Breaking the Waves" (1996), for which she received her first Academy Award nomination, and "Hilary and Jackie" (1998), earning her a second Oscar nod.
