Paramount+ has provided an update on the second season of its "Yellowstone" prequel, "1923," confirming that production is underway and the series is slated for a 2024 release. The show, which stars Academy Award winner Harrison Ford as Jacob Dutton and Academy Award winner Helen Mirren as Cara Dutton, continues the Dutton family's saga in the early 20th century. Season 2 is expected to pick up the narrative threads left dangling at the end of the first season, which concluded in March 2023.

The first season of "1923" explored the challenges faced by the Duttons during a period of unprecedented drought, famine, and the end of Prohibition in Montana.
