Dune 3 Filming Continues in Abu Dhabi's Liwa Desert

Filming for "Dune: Part Three" is underway in Abu Dhabi, with the Liwa Desert in the Western Region of the Emirate once again serving as the primary filming location for the desert planet Arrakis. The Abu Dhabi Film Commission (ADFC) released new behind-the-scenes images showcasing the production, featuring stars Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya, alongside director Denis Villeneuve.

The Liwa Desert has been a pivotal location throughout the "Dune" trilogy, providing the expansive, arid landscapes that define Arrakis, the home of the iconic sandworms. This continued use of the location highlights its effectiveness in creating the visual world of the science fiction epic.

"Dune: Part Three" is the anticipated continuation of Denis Villeneuve's adaptation of Frank Herbert's seminal science fiction novel.
