Drake's 'FOMO' Visual Album to Drop Majority of Tracks on Streaming Platforms October 1st

Aubrey Drake Graham, widely known as Drake, revealed during a live stream on September 28th that a significant portion of the music featured in his hour-long visual project, "Fear of Missing Out" (FOMO), will become available on major streaming platforms on Thursday, October 1st. Drake, a Grammy Award-winning artist from Toronto, Canada, stated, "There’s a bunch of songs coming to streaming on Thursday, so all the songs that you guys have been asking [for], well… not all of them, but enough of them are coming on Thursday." This highly anticipated release is set to include previously unreleased collaborations and new musical content, acting as a visual and auditory prelude to his extensive 2027 concert tour, which is slated to be his first North American tour since 2023.

The film 'FOMO', which Drake has described as "self-funded surrealism," was a collaborative directorial effort involving Theo Skudra, Liam Macrae, Jake Schreier, Zong Li, and Glenn Michael. The project compiles a diverse array of Toronto summer vignettes, interwoven with music videos from Drake's recent album releases, including "Maid of Honour," "Habibti," and "ICEMAN." The visual narrative unfolds across various iconic Toronto locales, featuring scenes shot on a speedboat on Lake Ontario, within the historic Casa Loma mansion, and amidst the bustling atmosphere of the Canadian National Exhibition fair. Adding a touch of pop culture flair, the film also includes a notable cameo of an Iron Man suit, featuring Loe Shimmy.

'FOMO' boasts an impressive roster of guest appearances from prominent figures in entertainment and sports. Notable cameos include fellow artists Sexyy Red and Stunna Sandy, supermodel Winnie Harlow, NBA superstar Kevin Durant, adult film actress Lena the Plug, and Drake’s mother, Sandi Graham. Beyond showcasing existing visuals for tracks such as "WNBA," "Road Trips," and "Hoe Phase," the film introduces fresh musical material. This includes a newly produced, slowed-down remix of Ella Langley’s hit "Choosin’ Texas," featuring the distinctive vocals of Don Toliver. Additionally, the project presents a track titled "Quebec," which had previously been made available on YouTube prior to the film's wider release. Further expanding the musical offerings, 'FOMO' highlights additional collaborations with Don Toliver, the rising artist Yeat, and the emerging talent OnlyHeaven.

The initial YouTube stream of 'FOMO' was temporarily set to private following its debut. However, it was later reinstated and made publicly accessible again on September 17th, allowing fans a preview of the visual experience. The strategic release of these tracks on streaming platforms, coupled with the visual narrative of 'FOMO', aims to build significant anticipation for Drake's upcoming 2027 tour, offering fans a comprehensive artistic statement that blends cinematic storytelling with his latest musical output.
