Zlatko Dalić Resigns as Croatia Coach After Nine Years

Zlatko Dalić resigned as the head coach of the Croatian national football team on December 18, 2024, concluding a nine-year tenure.

His departure follows Croatia's recent defeat against Portugal in the World Cup, marking the end of a significant period for the team under his leadership.

Dalić took over the Croatian national team in October 2017 and guided them to their first-ever World Cup final in 2018, where they lost to France. He also led the team to a third-place finish in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar and the final of the 2023 Nations League.

Throughout his tenure, Dalić managed 108 matches, achieving 56 wins, 25 draws, and 27 losses. His consistent presence and strategic guidance were instrumental in establishing Croatia as a consistent force in international football during his nine years at the helm.
