Cooper on Wales' radar amid Bellamy's Burnley links

Wales is considering potential successors for head coach Craig Bellamy, who is reportedly being linked with a move to Burnley. Steve Cooper, the former Nottingham Forest manager, is on a shortlist of candidates being evaluated by the Football Association of Wales. Cooper led Nottingham Forest to promotion to the Premier League in the 2021-2022 season before his departure in October 2022. Bellamy, a former Wales international, took over as head coach in July 2023, signing a two-year contract. Burnley, recently relegated from the Premier League, is reportedly seeking to appoint a new manager for their Championship campaign. The club has not officially commented on their managerial search. Cooper's previous managerial experience includes spells at Liverpool's academy and Swansea City. The Football Association of Wales has not provided a timeline for a decision on the head coach position.
