Compass Recruits Luxury Agent Daniel Ekerold

Compass announced this week the addition of luxury real estate agent Daniel Ekerold to its Florida team. Ekerold, who previously worked at Douglas Elliman, specializes in serving ultra-high-net-worth clients, hedge fund principals, developers, and investors in the Palm Beach market.

In 2025, Ekerold completed eight transaction sides totaling $17.84 million in sales volume. This performance earned him the No. 816 ranking for sales volume in Florida according to the 2026 RealTrends Verified rankings. The move to Compass is intended to support Ekerold and his team's expansion efforts in Palm Beach and the broader South Florida region.

Ekerold, originally from South Africa and a graduate of the University of Cape Town, brings a diverse professional background to his real estate career. His prior experience includes service in the Royal Marines, work on private mega yachts, building and operating service companies, and leading a nonprofit organization. He emphasized the importance of trust, discretion, clear communication, and high-level execution in his client dealings.

Adam Vellano, principal broker of Florida at Compass, welcomed Ekerold, highlighting his "hyper-local market pulse and turnkey concierge approach." Vellano stated that Ekerold's expertise makes him one of the most knowledgeable agents in the Palm Beach area. The brokerage expressed pride in adding Ekerold to their team.
