Coca-Cola Becomes Official Soda Partner for Marriott Hotels

Marriott International and The Coca-Cola Company announced a global agreement this week that will make Coca-Cola the official beverage partner across Marriott's extensive hotel portfolio worldwide. This partnership aims to expand beverage choices and enhance the guest experience by featuring The Coca-Cola Company's brands, including carbonated soft drinks and a range of hydration and functional beverages, in hotels globally. Anthony Capuano, Marriott's CEO and President, stated that the agreement unites two prominent brands with a shared dedication to quality and creating memorable guest experiences. He emphasized the focus on providing guests and Marriott Bonvoy Members with preferred products, better catering to guest preferences, and generating economic advantages for owners and franchise operators within the Marriott system. Capuano expressed enthusiasm for collaborating with The Coca-Cola Company to offer their products in more locations.
Henrique Braun, CEO of The Coca-Cola Company, described the day as significant, highlighting excitement for the future with Marriott and the opportunity to offer travelers more of the brands they enjoy. In a statement directed at Marriott owners, franchisees, and franchise management companies, Satya Ananda, group president of U.S., Canada, and the Caribbean and Latin America at Marriott International, noted that The Coca-Cola portfolio is globally preferred by a 2:1 margin and favored by over 70% of Marriott's guests. This new agreement marks the end of Marriott's 34-year partnership with PepsiCo.
