Chip and Joanna Gaines have sold their meticulously renovated historic Waco Castle, marking the culmination of a nearly two-decade-long aspiration to restore the landmark property. While the final sale price remains unconfirmed, the HGTV stars initially listed the estate for $2,699,000 in June 2026. The castle had previously been offered at auction in 2023 but did not secure a buyer, as reported by Mansion Global. During its availability, the property was opened to the public for guided tours, offering visitors insights into the carefully chosen design elements. The extensive, multi-year renovation process undertaken by the couple was documented in their 2022 series, “Fixer Upper: The Castle.”

The manor, originally constructed in 1890, spans 6,176 square feet and was in a state of neglect and abandonment when Chip and Joanna Gaines acquired it in 2019. Although the purchase price at that time was $425,000, the exact amount the couple paid for the home has not been disclosed. The listing agent, Realtor.com, confirmed that the home was offered fully furnished, with all furnishings, accessories, and decor thoughtfully curated to complement the castle's design and included in the sale. The renovation itself was a significant undertaking, requiring years of dedicated work to reinfuse character into the historic building.

Chip and Joanna Gaines focused on preserving and enhancing the home's original style and era. Joanna Gaines expressed her vision during an episode of “Fixer Upper,” stating, “People love things that are nostalgic. They love things that are antique-looking, and I want this place to feel like it did in 1915.” She further elaborated on the desired ambiance, explaining, “Whether you walked into the space in 1915 or today, it has that same feeling of history and love and beauty and castle-ship.” The completed renovation presents a unique opportunity for a buyer to acquire a piece of Magnolia history, blending modern luxury with classic finishes, as exemplified by the kitchen, and incorporating added built-in storage throughout the residence.
