Chef Yoshiteru Ikegawa Sets a Rare Three-Night Residency at Torikaze Hong Kong

Chef Yoshiteru Ikegawa will host a three-night guest chef event at Torikaze Hong Kong from July 28–30, 2026. This rare international culinary appearance by the founder of Tokyo's Michelin-starred Torishiki will feature a limited yakitori omakase menu priced at $1,480 HKD per guest, plus 10% service charge. Chef Ikegawa, known for his adherence to Yakitori-do, will collaborate with Torikaze Hong Kong Head Chef Ryo Matsui, his disciple. The omakase menu will showcase seasonal ingredients and signature dishes grilled over Kishu binchotan charcoal, including various chicken cuts like thigh, shoulder, and tsukune, alongside vegetables such as Manganji peppers and okra. The progression of the meal includes appetizers like liver mousse and chicken roll, followed by stuffed chicken wings with Yunnan mushrooms, and concludes with claypot rice and coconut-mango ice cream. Chef Ikegawa's philosophy, "one skewer, one lifetime," underscores his dedication to precision and ingredient respect in his culinary discipline.
