Celina Jaitly to Portray Sister Nibedita in New Biopic

Indian actor Celina Jaitly will return to feature films in the role of Sister Nibedita, the Irish-born disciple of Swami Vivekananda. This marks her second collaboration with director Ram Kamal Mukherjee, following their previous work on the film “Season’s Greetings.” Jaitly, who previously starred in Bollywood hits such as “Janasheen” (2003) and “No Entry,” will portray the historical figure in Mukherjee’s next biographical drama.

Sister Nibedita, born Margaret Elizabeth Noble, was a prominent figure in the Ramakrishna Mission and a close associate of Swami Vivekananda. She dedicated her life to social reform and education in India, particularly for women and children.
