Carnival Cruise Line Opens New Private Destination Celebration Key

Carnival Cruise Line has opened Celebration Key, a new private destination situated on the southern coast of Grand Bahama Island. This expansive sun-and-fun playground represents a significant investment by the cruise line, aiming to enhance the guest experience by providing direct access to shore amenities. A substantial $100 million pier expansion at Celebration Key now allows up to four ships to dock simultaneously, eliminating the need for tender boats and enabling passengers to disembark directly onto the island's beaches. The destination is designed to cater to a wide range of preferences, featuring miles of white-sand beaches and two of the largest freshwater lagoons in the Caribbean. Guests will find numerous dining and drinking establishments, alongside a continuous schedule of activities suitable for families with young children, those seeking lively entertainment, and individuals looking for a more tranquil experience. Central to the destination's attractions is the Suncastle, a prominent 10-story structure resembling a sandcastle, which houses twin racing waterslides that propel riders into the adjacent lagoon waters. For ease of navigation, Celebration Key offers both pedestrian-friendly wide paved walkways and a hop-on, hop-off tram service. The new destination is accessible to nearly the entire Carnival Cruise Line fleet, with itineraries including Celebration Key featured on both short weekend trips to the Bahamas and longer Caribbean voyages. Ships serving Celebration Key depart from ten different U.S. home ports, including Miami, Port Canaveral, Galveston, New Orleans, Baltimore, Jacksonville, Norfolk, Mobile, Tampa, and New York City, ensuring broad accessibility for passengers across the United States.
